What happens when a combat veteran with small-town Cajun roots dives into the world of business? You get someone who’s as down-to-earth as he is driven, bringing warmth, resilience, and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
What happens when a combat veteran with small-town Cajun roots dives into the world of business? You get someone who’s as down-to-earth as he is driven, bringing warmth, resilience, and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
I come from a family with more than 130 years of entrepreneurial roots. My great-grandfather started Bourgeois Meat Market in 1891, and four generations later it’s still a staple in my hometown of Thibodaux, Louisiana. Growing up around that kind of legacy taught me the pride of hard work, the value of reputation, and the importance of building something that lasts.
My own path looked different. I spent over a decade in the military, including a few years overseas as a combat veteran, before coming home determined to write my own chapter of the family legacy. From there, I built my first business from the ground up, eventually scaling it into eight locations across three states, leading more than 130 employees, and generating millions in annual revenue. Along the way there were long nights and hard lessons, but those challenges shaped me as much as the successes.
What I discovered is that growth doesn’t come from hustle alone. It comes from building systems, creating accountability, and fostering a culture where the business can thrive without consuming the owner’s life. I also learned that empathy and vulnerability aren’t weaknesses in leadership; they’re essential for building trust and culture. People don’t follow processes alone; they follow leaders they trust. Those lessons eventually allowed me to step away from the daily grind while still leading a company of 40 employees remotely.
Today, I share that experience with other entrepreneurs. My coaching is rooted in the same principles that shaped me: discipline from the military, resilience from business, and the belief that true growth comes from clarity, accountability, and courage. My story isn’t built on theory; it’s built on the hard-won experience of scaling businesses, and my goal is to help other owners use that experience to create the freedom they’ve been chasing.
One of the things that excites me most about coaching entrepreneurs is helping them overcome the same hurdles I’ve faced. I’ve been in the trenches: building businesses, scaling operations, and navigating tough decisions. I know firsthand how challenging it can be, but I also know how rewarding it is when everything clicks into place. I’m passionate about finding solutions that others might not see, and I love learning about new industries and applying my strategies in areas where I’ve never worked before.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my blend of openness and practicality. I listen, ask the right questions, and then challenge you to think in new ways. I bring a fresh perspective to the table, and I won’t shy away from tough conversations. I’m empathetic, but I’m also direct. My goal is always to help you grow, and that means holding you accountable and making sure you’re moving toward the outcomes you want. My military background taught me discipline and resilience; years of personal growth taught me the importance of transparency and vulnerability. I believe in balancing tough decision-making with empathy and understanding, and I bring that balance into every coaching relationship.
I approach every challenge by first understanding what’s known and unknown. I ask a lot of questions to get to the root of the issue, uncover gaps in knowledge or experience, and identify areas where new strategies can be applied. From there, I take a logical approach to map out the steps that will get you from where you are now to where you want to be. My background in business and my time serving have taught me the value of resilience, adaptability, and finding clarity in the midst of complexity. I break down the big picture into actionable steps so you can move forward with confidence. This strategic thinking helps me bring order to chaos and turn complex problems into manageable challenges.
I know your time is precious, and as a business owner you don’t want to waste a minute. I bring the discipline and grit of a combat veteran, combined with the strategic insight of a self-made entrepreneur. I’ve built businesses from the ground up and navigated every challenge along the way, so I understand the hurdles you’re facing. My approach is practical, straightforward, and focused on getting real results. I’ll work with you not just as a coach but as a partner who has been in the trenches, solving complex problems and turning obstacles into opportunities.
Faith and church are at the center of my life, shaping me daily as a leader, father, friend, and brother. I’ve played drums since I was a teenager, even building my own custom kit that still sits in my living room. After years away from combat zones, skydiving became my way of seeking challenge again, while stand-up comedy gave me a creative outlet that keeps me humble and curious. Fitness and cooking keep me disciplined and grounded, but nothing compares to the joy of time spent with my four kids.
My goal is to help you think bigger and unlock your full potential, no matter where you’re starting from. I want you to see what’s truly possible for your business and for yourself, and to leave our work together feeling empowered to make it happen. I’ll be your partner in the process: challenging you when needed but always encouraging you to take ownership of your growth. After all, you’re the one who will ultimately make the magic happen, but I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.
Jason has lived that story himself, and now he helps business owners write their own. Whether freedom means more time with family, the space to grow, or simply peace of mind, it starts with clarity, accountability, and a proven system for scaling.
